An Event to Remember
A day to remember the lives we’ve lost, and to celebrate them the way they’d want to be remembered: together, surrounded by family, food, music, and joy.
Saturday, September 19, 20262:00–6:00 PMSaratoga Elementary School, Morris IL
A day to remember, a day to celebrate.
An Event to Remember is a community day built around family, connection, and the people we carry with us. It’s a space to remember those we’ve lost to suicide and depression, and to honor their lives the way they lived them, surrounded by the people who loved them.
Throughout the afternoon you’ll find games for kids of all ages, food, and live music, alongside mental health resources from organizations in and around our community. The goal is simple: bring real awareness to real issues, while celebrating life together.
Why it matters
Too many families know the weight of losing someone to suicide or depression. This day is about facing that openly, with compassion and without stigma, while reminding everyone who comes that they are surrounded by a community that cares.
Remembrance and celebration belong in the same place. Every raffle, shirt, and donation helps the Foundation keep that message alive throughout the year.
From start to finish.
The afternoon moves from remembrance into celebration, beginning with food, music, and family, and ending with a community color run.
